Ashford Landing Apartments
Ashford Landing is the second 9% Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) development for HDC’s affiliate, Housing Authority of DeKalb County (HADC). Built as Phase II of of the former Johnson Ferry East public housing community, Brookleigh, this 117-unit, independent living community is designed for senior’s age 62 years and older. Completed in late 2009, Ashford Landing is a mixed-finance redevelopment property. Ashford Landing provides the second phase of replacement housing for the seniors that previously resided at Johnson Ferry East. This project was financed with 9% Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) transaction, a conventional loan and an HADC loan. The project has project-based, rental assistance demonstration (RAD), 60% LIHTC and market units.
